Caley Thistle Ladies 4-0 Netherton
Caley Thistle’s women came out of hibernation after a seven-week lay-off to record another 3 points with a comfortable victory against their Glasgow opponents last weekend.
Lorraine Cadden fired them ahead after 6 minutes with a blistering drive from the edge of the box, before Leanne Calder doubled the lead on the 12-minute mark when she hammered the ball into the roof of the net from just inside the box.
Caley Thistle continued to dominate but failed to add to the score line until 5 minutes before half time when Leanne Calder burst through and netted at the second attempt after the keeper blocked her first effort.
The second half saw the home side create and miss several chances before midfield dynamo Fiona Cuthbert completed the scoring when she reacted quickly to a loose ball in the box and beat the keeper with a well-struck shot.
Lorraine Cadden won the player of the match award after several penetrating runs at the visitors defence.
